1st Year On-Site Service Agreement
- Service Territory and Coverage: On-Site PC Service is available in the continental United States and in limited areas of Alaska, Canada, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. Canadian customers are responsible for return shipping and associated fees. Service coverage begins on the date your PC is shipped and ends one year thereafter.
- Service Procedure: First call Technical Support at Midwest Micro so they can evaluate the problem and determine if a hardware failure is the cause. In the event your PC vendor determines replacement parts are required, they will contact the third party solution provider on your behalf. The PC vendor will ship the replacement parts to the third party solution provider. A technician will contact you upon receipt of the replacement parts to arrange an on-site visit.
- Next Business-Day Response: Service appointments are scheduled the day following parts delivery to the On-Site Service center. An adult age 18 years or older must be present at the service location. On-Site Service is available Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., excluding holidays.
- Data File Backup: You are responsible for backing-up all data files to an external media prior to On-Site Service.
Exclusions and Limitations
Based on the aforementioned conditions, PCs purchased with On-Site Service will be eligible for this service with the following exceptions:
- No On-Site Service will be provided in the following circumstances: during disasters such as floods, fires, winds, earthquakes or lightning; if you fail to provide the proper installation environment; if your PC's hardware or software was not installed by your PC vendor or an authorized On-Site Service technician; if your PC received prior service by any other service center; if your PC was subjected to any other type of abuse, misuse or neglect; or if the serial number or rating label on your PC has been removed, defaced or altered. If any of the above exclusions are discovered as the cause of repair, or you fail to meet an On-Site Service technician for scheduled service, you may be required to submit your system to the PC vendor for depot repair.
- On-Site Service is not available for any external peripheral, including any monitor, mouse, keyboard or speaker, or any unauthorized attachment.
- On-Site Service does not include data back-up and/or data restoration.
- If the same or a similar problem occurs after an On-Site Service visit, your PC vendor may recall the equipment for further tests and repairs.
- Neither the third party service provider nor your PC vendor is liable for any indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages as a result of any authorized service call or replacement part. (Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.)
- The third party service provider and your PC vendor make no warranties, express or implied, with respect to any replacement part or service call. (Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties so these limitations may not apply to you.)
